Here’s what I’ve been doing to bring my vision to tangible reality.
I know I’m a high visual person. I want my service spaces to be full of good vibes, starting with art that speak to the black experience. We see a lot of people that don’t look like us or the ones that are, are portrayed in the same generic roles. I want the art in my salon to speak life into to viewers. On the same hand, I want to support my community before I put money in a corporation’s pocket. So I’ve created a list of art I would like created. I’ve been buying commissions from Ct based artists in hopes of finding pieces that scream Pimp Society. Think you can catch my vision? Send me something. Let’s work!

I am OBSESSED with this! This amazing queen named Mya painted this for me (@muvamyaaart) & I’ve been in a CHOKEHOLD. I think I paid like $300 for this but I would’ve sold my left arm & 1 pinky toe for this. She ate!!! I’m ready to see where she goes & how much she starts charging because Miss Ma’am Mya has got it!
