This is honestly one of my favorite features with Missy 202. I aim the for excellence & elegance. I want to normalize the idea that getting your hair done (or any form of self care) is a luxurious necessity. It’s luxury because it feels sooo good, it’s so beneficial, and there’s so many fun options for self care! It’s simultaneously a necessity. It detoxes & cleanses the body physcially, mentally, & spiritually. It forces you to pause, which truthfully we all need. We live in a capitalist society where we’re programmed to be productive 24/7 & if we’re not, we feel like we’re failing. If we don’t take a break, our body will take one for us. I want to see everyone win so it’s my job to show you exactly why you need to get your hair done. Yes I said NEED. When your hair looks good, you feel good. Your hair is also a direct representation of your physical and emotional health (the hormones in your body affect everything!). Some people need a little extra TLC (life be life-ing a little too hard sometimes *crying emoji*) or some simply need a little extra added on to make it all worth it. Now this could just be me, but I’ve got main character syndrome. I think my life is a movie & I’m living my fairytale (as I should!). Being pampered & catered to while I just exist is a dream… & IMA LIVE IT! Which brings me to this…..
Boom. VIP Services. These services are going to slowly become my main form of booking. I’m not trying to sell hair styles or looks. I’m selling routine, a regimen, a lifestyle. Missy 202 is an EXPERIENCE. This is supposed to be your time to relax & unwind! So here’s my vision. Each hair appointment is FULL SERVICE in the most literal sense. We start with a wash your hair with salon grade/plant based products based on your hair type & texture to completely wash away dirt & build up. I will then deep condition your hair before styling to really put the “protective” in “protective styling”. A scalp treatment paired with the perfect blend of oils for maximum scalp stimulation. Hair? Also included. Just bring yourself! For the loc heads I threw in a Loc detox because they are so good to get regularly but most of y’all don’t think about it! I got you! So this sounds cute and all but…. What makes this VIP?
MMMMM first of all who is doing every step A to Z to make sure your hair isn’t just cute but HEALTHY? I’ll wait… But that’s ok because that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Also included in all VIP Services is a hot towel steam & facial. Yea that’s right; hair AND skin about to be looking immaculate! Never had a hot towel treatment before? Whew chile you’re in for a treat! Check out the “Inside Look- Hot Towel Treatment” post farther down this page! I also will be providing a neck pillow for maximum comfort. Is that needed? Nah… but it sure does help! Who WANTS to hold thier own head up for hours when someone is playing in their hair? (& I say playing because it’s fun for me to do hair & relaxing for you… so are we really working?) Uhm.. not I. Plus… y’all stay falling asleep anyways! Get that nap in, I got you. But it’s the little things for real! Now feel free to bring your own food (shoot bring me some too!) but I will also be offering a selection of snacks! Who don’t like free food?? If you’re vegetarian/vegan/plant based (holla at me, same!) I’ve got options for you too! Now the last thing I’ll be throwing in to make this service that much more amazing is free hair beads, cuffs, & charms! Yea braids be cute, but braids with gold cuffs? Cuter! Most people don’t bring their own nor do they want to pay extra for them. But everyone wants them… so my VIPs get what they want! I pick up random cute accessories I see while I’m out so you never know what you’re gonna get! Gold, silver, dangly, shells, glow in the dark, ribbons, & the list goes on & on. One thing about Missy 202? We like to do our big one over here!
Hold up, did I mention… Each VIP service comes with a complimentary massage! I recently attended the CT Barber Expo & got a bunch of goodies for y’all! One of these is a Skyline Percussion Massage Gun. It felt AMAZING on my body (doing hair all day creates a lot of tension in my upper body) & I just know my Pimps would love it too! I hear about all the work you gotta put in & drama you deal with. Let me ease some of that tension for you.
